One week old today...March 23, 2010. Isn't she cute? All dressed and ready to leave the house for the first time since coming home from the hospital. Andi had her first doctor's appointment. They wanted to do a weight check. Most first appointments are at two weeks old, but they wanted to make sure she was gaining her weight back. The doctor said that most babies will lose some weight but should gain it back by their two week appointment. Just wanted to make sure Andi was gaining and not losing. Andi was 9 lbs 2 oz when born and 8 lbs 3 oz when we left the hospital. At her appointment on this day Andi weighed 8 lbs 14.5 oz. She did not even need to see the doctor! They said she is doing great! Instead we met with the lactation specialist to answer any questions and give us some tips. What a wild lady! Irish! She kept saying to Andi; "Damn you are a beautiful baby!" I agree totally, but was offended that she kept cursing at my baby. :)
