14 months old

Time is going by so quickly. Can Andi really be 14 months old?! I am looking forward to the summer, when I will get to spend lots of time with my precious baby (and Dave too, of course!).

Loves to move and climb. How quickly she can go from sitting to standing to climbing!
You can finally see those top teeth in this pic. Still coming in. Now she is getting her top, left incisor tooth. So she has four teeth (top front teeth and bottom two) and is working on a fifth.

Trying to hug Pearl. She got a hold of her and gave her a huge hug and a kiss too. And of course Pearl gave a wet, slobbery kiss back.

Andi's vocabulary is expanding by the day. She amazes me with all of the words she can now say and even more that she can understand.

Last week we were watching the Texas Rangers play on T.V. Andi points to the television and says "baseball." I am not surprised that this is one of her many first words. She did go to her first baseball game when she was about four weeks old. And she went to more games than I can count when she was in my pregnant belly. Glad she loves this sport. She did another cute baseball related thing a few weeks ago. Dave and I were watching Shawn pitch on the internet. I said, "Andi, time to watch Uncle Shawn play baseball." She went and stood in front of the computer and pointed to the computer screen. Yep, she knows that is where we will see Uncle Shawn (that is until we get to go visit him in July).

Maybe the cutest thing Andi says now is, "tickle-tickle." She likes to be tickled and will say "tickle-tickle" when we are tickling her and will also say it when she is trying to tickle us. She has also discovered her belly button and can say "belly button." She says "belly button" a lot when taking a bath and points to it and smiles or laughs. And what's more? She knows where to look for the belly button. She will lift up the bottom of her shirt or mine or Dave's shirt and laugh and say "belly button." It is really, really cute. (Might be a good thing that school is out (her last day was May 19th), because I bet she would love to show off her new trick to her classmates and teachers, and they might not appreciate it and think it is cute like I do. :)

Animal sounds: bird "tweet-tweet," (in a really high pitched voice, more like "teet-teet") dog "uh-uh-uh," cat "mow-mow," fish "blu-blu-blu," rabbit "hop-hop," sheep "baa," elephant "...[raises arm over her head], duck "quack-quack."

She knows parts of the body: hands, feet, belly button, bobo, hair, eyes, ears, mouth, nose, teeth, tongue (will stick out her tongue when asked "where is your tongue?"

More words Andi is saying constantly: Mama, Dada, Pearl-Pearl (more like Pewl-Pewl), car, truck, tractor, kitchen, "vroom" eyes, ears, hair, nose, hands, feet, hat, shoes, sit, "sit up" (instead of sit down), stand up, chair, baseball, tickle, dance, book, dinosaur, baby, dog, cat, bird, fish, duck, bug, out, hot, stop, house, cup, pop, snack, more, all done, don't do that (don do dat), ouch, paci ("papi"), achoo, diaper, bottle ("ba-ba"), bo-bo, poo-poo, shoo-wee, bed, door, and the list continues.

When Andi sees a flower, she leans forward and sniffs loudly in attempts to smell the flower. This goes for real flowers as well as ones in books we are reading. Pretty cute!

Andi is also really good at blowing her nose. She has been able to do it for a few months now, but truly blows her nose when you hold a tissue up to her nose and say "blow your nose." This is great (especially right now since her allergies have been bad). Lots of nose blowing.

Andi has a great imagination. Last week, all of her animals were lined up and Andi was given a bowl and spoon. What did she do? She fed her animals. She would put the spoon in the bowl, swirl it around, smack her lips and say "mmm, mmm" and then put the spoon up to the mouths of her animals as if to feed them. Adorable!

I have gotten to spend the last days at home with her and it has been wonderful. We have had so much fun together. A taste of how fun summer will be in just a couple weeks!
