The kids had so much fun trick or treating this year. Eastman is usually not a big fan of getting dressed but when we told him he got to wear a costume and dress up like Andi, he was thrilled. He came running towards his costume and couldd not wait to put it on. After getting dressed, he immedicately looked in the floor length mirror to check himself out and said, "Arrgh Matey!" We were cracking up! Andi was proud of her costume and super excited about wearing her Ariel wig. When people would comment on her pretty red hair, she would say, "Thank you, but it is just a wig."
The McCarleys came over for dinner and then we went trick-or-treating. We took the kids around in wagons. After the first couple of houses, Eastman watched Andi and figured out that he needed to say trick or treat and wait for candy. Pretty precious. He was very good about saying, "Thank you. Bye-Bye." The kids got way more candy than they needed. Towards the end of our walk, Eastman would go to the houses, say "trick or treat" then they would hand him candy and he would then give it back to them. I was ok with this and told them we had plenty.
After doing our own trick-or-treating, we sat on the porch and waited for kids to come. Andi had a lot of fun handing them candy-maybe more than trick or treating on her own. She liked seeing all of the costumes. Eastman fell asleep in my arms while doing this-no surprise! But not before Andi and Eastman got to eat a few pieces of their candy.
