Andi Lynn is FOUR!

I cannot believe that my baby girl is four years old! (March 17th, 2014)


Andi loves kittens and has requested a pink kitty cat birthday party this year.  Combined with Eastman’s blue puppy dog party (Andi was insistent on these themes for their joint party.) 

I asked Andi some questions about her favorites... (same questions I asked her last year and hope to continue this tradition  each year on her birthday to see how they change.) Her answers are in pink, I have added a few thoughts of my own in parenthesis.


1. What is your favorite color? pink

2. What is your favorite toy? pink kitty

3. What is your favorite fruit? banana (Andi still doesn't eat any other kind of fruit. Won't even try and fruit.  In fact, she really doesn’t eat bananas much anymore.  Only when I say it may help prevent foot cramps in the middle of the night.)

4. What is your favorite TV show? Duck Tales (This show is not on anymore-I think it was a show that I watched as a kid.  We have checked it out from the library and it has 16 episodes on it.  She only wants to watch two of the episodes on repeat.)  (Andi also likes Doc McStuffins, Sofia, Sherriff Callie, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.)

5. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? Cereal

6. What is your favorite outfit? Minnie Mouse nightgown (She loves getting to stay in her pjs all day.)

7. What is your favorite game? Mommy and Andi (Andi loves to pretend that she is Mommy and I am Andi.  Her favorite game to play!  Andi has also really started to like board games.  We play Trouble, Disney Princess Cupcakes, Cat and the Hat I Can Do That, Chutes and Ladders, and Cupcake Race)  In the evenings, she often asks to play a board game before reading a book and going to bed.)

8. What is your favorite snack? Lucky Charms (This child loves to snack!)

9. What is your favorite animal? Kitten

10. What is your favorite song? “Meow-Meow” (When I asked her, she started singing Meow to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.  Andi really loves to sing (and she really likes to pretend that she is a kitty cat).  She sings and hums to herself and makes up songs about what she is doing.  She has gotten good at rhyming, so she often makes up songs that include rhyming.  She will sing to her brother hen he is upset and was able to calm down her cousin, Zoey, by singing to her when she was crying.)

11. What is your favorite book? Frozen (Loves books!  Andi was given Disney Frozen book for her birthday and wants it readt to her every night.  One night we did not have the book so she asked me to just tell her the story so she could go to sleep.  Dave took her to get the movie the day after her birthday and we have watched it several times this week!)

12. Who is your best friend? Kinley (Kinley goes to school with Andi at KidCare. They are best friends. They have been in class together for three years now!  Kinley has gotten to come over and play a few times now and it is just precious!)

13. What is your favorite cereal? Lucky Charms  (Andi really loves cereal.  Almost any kind of cereal.  Give her a bowl of ceral with ilk for any meal and she is happy.  Give her a snack cup with dry cereal and she is a happy girl.  She can and will eat cereal at any time of the day if she could.)

14. What is your favorite thing to do outside? go to the park

15. What is your favorite drink? chocolate milk

16. What is your favorite holiday? Christmas (It is March and she is still singing Christmas songs and ready for us to put up Christmas decorations again.)

17. What do you like to take to bed with you at night? Pinky  (Pinky is a purple lovie kitten (a small blanket with a cat head on it).  She does not have to have it to sleep, but she has been very fond of this one lately.  She does like to have at least one (usually several) stuffed animals with her in bed at night.  Recently it has been about five stuffed kittens.)

18. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Lucky Charms  (This was her birthday breakfast request.  The day before her birthday, she said that we should go to the store and buy Lucky Charms so she can eat them for breakfast on her birthday.)

19. What do you want for dinner on your birthday? Chocolate Cake  (She wanted chocolate cake for her birthday dinner.  Not dinner, just cake.  Well, it was her birthday, so why not.  We took her to Bliss Cupcakes and she picked out a giant chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing and green sprinkles.  She then asked the girls if she could get some rainbow sprinkles and M&Ms on top too.  She is my daughter!  That is really all she wanted for dinner.  She did later have some meat sticks and crackers (her go-to meal).)

20. What do you want to be when you grow up? a dentist  (Last month she said she wanted to be a mommy, now it is a dentist.  She even talked about going to dental school but that she is going to miss Kinley when she goes to dental school.)

21. What is your favorite movie? Madagascar 3
