Abilene Zoo

Last weekend we went to Abilene to spend some time with Gram and Grandavs. On Friday, 6/24/11, they took us to the Abilene Zoo. Andi loved it. She loves animals. The only thing she did not like...We were in the reptile building looking at the snakes. I was holding Andi up to see the snakes. Dave came up behind us and quickly make the snake sound "SSSSS" and stroked Andi on the back of the neck. Andi's lip began to quiver and she looked at her Daddy and started to cry. She looked at him with these sad eyes as if to say, "Why, Daddy?" On a happier note, we got to feed the giraffes. I thought Andi would be timid and not willing to do so, but she loved it. We would reach out our hands and let the giraffes take the crackers from our palms.
