Taos, New Mexico

Dave and I just returned from a little mountain getaway in Taos, New Mexico. We went with Shame and Crystal Spencer. Andi spent the long weekend with my parents, Nana and Papa. While in Taos, we did a lot of relaxing. We also played frisbee golf and another day, the boys went golfing while the girls shopped. One night we attended a private cooking class with Shane & Crystal and Clark & Kathy. It was a blast! And we decided that we are incredible chefs! Our most adventuresome day was spent riding the Rio Grande. We did NOT take a guided rafting tour, Nor did we rent kayaks or tubs. We pulled out all the stops and rode air mattresses down the river, tackling a few small rapids. What an adventure! On July 4th we attended the second annual Fourth of July party where Shane and Dave were the entertainment. Shane played guitar and both Dave and Shane sang. They sounded beautifully together. We received several compliments and one guy even yelled out for Dave to sing more. :) The forest fires caused all of the national forests to be closed so unfortunately we were unable to watch the amazing fireworks or ride horses as planned. None the less, this was another wonderful trip with dear friends.
